Civil Air Australia

Civil Air (The Civil Air Operations Officers’ Association of Australia) is an industrial and professional Association established to support its members who are: Air Traffic Controllers, ATC Instructors, Simulator Support Officers (SSOs), Flight Data Coordinators (FDCs), Airways Data Team (ADTs), ATS Managers and Department of Defence APS ATCs.

Civil Air is the only industrial and professional organisation eligible to represent its members in Australia and has approximately 1,400 full and associate members across Australia.

Industrially, Civil Air‘s focus is to protect and improve the employment conditions and salary levels of all of its members.

Civil Air is also actively involved in maintaining the professional standards of the aviation industry and works towards improving Australian aviation standards. Civil Air is also very active in the international world of aviation and contributes to improving world aviation standards.

The President and five Vice Presidents form Civil Air’s Committee of Management.  This committee meets at least monthly to progress management matters and the implementation of Civil Air policy. The National Executive of the Association comprises of the Committee of Management and the elected Divisional Delegates.  The National Executive meets at least 3 times a year and is responsible for making Civil Air policy.
