Thursday, 4 June: 4:30 PM CEST/10:30 AM EDT

The six leaders of the Global Air Traffic Controllers Alliance will participate in a panel discussion about their countries' aviation systems and what it's like to be a controller during the COVID-19 crisis. How has the global health crisis affected controllers and ATC? How are controllers and other aviation safety professionals staying safe from COVID-19? How have traffic volumes been affected?

The Alliance was formed in 2018 among leaders of like-minded air traffic control unions in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Its member unions represent 23,154 Air Traffic Controllers working in 39 Enroute Centres, 163 TRACONs, and over 644 Towers. The partnership among CATCA, Civil Air Australia, NATCA, NZALPA, Prospect ATCOs’ Branch, and USCA strengthens ties and establishes a collective voice to speak on a range of subjects.
