About GdF
GdF — Gewerkschaft der Flugsicherung — was founded in 2003 and represents approximately 4,100 members across air traffic control, engineering, operational, and administrative roles in Germany. Around 3,700 of them work in air traffic control as controllers (ATCO), air traffic service operators (ATOS), and air traffic safety electronics personnel (ATSEP). GdF represents staff at the four DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung control centres — Bremen, Langen, Munich, and Karlsruhe UAC — as well as all 16 DFS towers and many of Germany’s regional and AFIS towers.
